Township to assist Cranberry robotics teams

From staff reports

A couple of matters were discussed at Thursday’s brief Cranberry Township supervisors meeting.

Eric Heil, the township zoning officer and interim township manager, talked about helping the Cranberry Area School District robotics teams travel to Texas in May to compete in the Worlds championship.

Supervisors agreed to assist the effort with a $500 donation from the township.

A spaghetti dinner that is being held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Cranberry High School will also raise funds for the trip.

In another matter, supervisors agreed to appoint Mike Erwin as the township’s utility supervisor.

Heil also noted that Aries Hill Road was to have been re-opened Friday.
