T Mobile grant for 100 Seneca

John Trapasso, the T Mobile rural market manager for western Pennsylvania, presented Oil City Mayor Bill Moon with a check for a $49,000 T Mobile Hometown grant Wednesday afternoon in Towne Square. The grant will be used to purchase equipment for the business innovation center on the fifth floor of the 100 Seneca building in downtown Oil City. Emily Lewis, the executive director of the Venango County Economic Development Authority, said the grant will be used to equip the space with 3D printers, laser printers, sewing machines, and various tools. She said the innovation center may be completed by late next year. Trapasso said the grant to Oil City was the first T Mobile hometown grant awarded in western Pennsylvania. (By Kara O’Neil)
