Oil City police seek suspect in drug overdose death

From staff reports

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Michigan man in connection with an overdose death that occurred in Oil City earlier this year.

According to a press release from the Oil City Police Department, charges have been filed against Jeremy C. Ludy, 20, of Detroit, as part of an ongoing investigation into the delivery of controlled substances in and around Oil City.

The investigation started after a man died of a heroin overdose in February.

Police have discovered that multiple people conspired with an element from the Detroit area to sell and deliver large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin in Venango County.

Ludy was found to be the coordinator of the element from Detroit, police said.

Ludy is believed to be in Detroit, but is known to frequent multiple residences in Venango County, police said.

Anyone with information about Ludy’s whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement agencies or the Oil City Police Department at (814) 678-3080.
